Welcome to the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven's website. Here, you'll be able to learn who we are and
how we serve the Greater Winter Haven community. Spend some time looking through the "Who We Are" and "How We
Help" sections to see our history and some of the activities we are currently involved in. The "Fundraisers"
section lets you know how we are raising funds to support our community projects. And, don't forget the "Get
Involved" section to find out how you can help us to accomplish our goals.
I am continually asked the question "What is Junior League". The best way to answer that is with our Mission
Statement. The Junior League of Greater Winter Haven is an organization of women committed to promoting
volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action
and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. This Mission
Statement is the core of everything we do in the Junior League.

It is an honor and a privilege for me to serve as President of the Junior League of Greater Winter
Haven for 2009 - 2010. Started in 1980 by a group of dedicated, visionary women, the JLGWH has grown
and developed very much like our community has over the years. Today, we are a diverse group of women
from all over Polk County and beyond with one common goal - to improve life in our community.
