Super Saturday
 
 
 
The Junior League of Greater Winter Haven held it's annual a one-day event
on February 7, 2009 from 9am-noon, to promote reading and highlight the resources
available to all elementary students at the Winter Haven Library. Children that attended the
event went go home with an age appropriate book and bookmark donated by the League.

Activities included:
-Facepainting
-A scavenger hunt
-Kids in the Kitchen coloring contest
-Making a short story with VIP Kids
-Paintings by Tony Trotti
-A reading of All of Life is a School, by local author and owner of Fantasy of Flight, Kermit Weeks
-Music by a select group of strings from the Winter Haven High School, directed by Michael Lawson
-Demonstrations by Laura Lawson and other trainers with their puppies from Southeastern Guide Dogs
Children of all abilities were encouraged to attend and there was a great turnout.
